Established in 1990 by an Act of Parliament, the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) is the primary government agency for promoting, attracting, and facilitating investment in Kenya's Export Processing Zones. Its core mission is to create an enabling environment for export-oriented businesses by providing a range of fiscal and procedural incentives, including tax holidays and streamlined regulatory approvals. The Authority is responsible for the development and management of all EPZs in Kenya, aiming to diversify the country's export base, create employment, attract foreign direct investment (FDI), and foster technology transfer.
