The platform's mission was to make the M&A process more efficient for startups and mid-market tech companies by connecting them with a curated list of corporate and private equity buyers. The service provided tools for companies to manage the initial stages of the acquisition process with confidentiality. In March 2016, Exitround was acquired by the financial technology company Earnest, and its platform was subsequently shut down.
