It provided personal auto, motorcycle, renters, and homeowners insurance directly to consumers online and over the phone. In 2011, Esurance was acquired by Allstate. In 2020, Allstate began a strategic phase-out of the Esurance brand, ceasing the sale of new policies under its name and integrating its operations and policyholders into the core Allstate brand and systems.
