Founded in 2012 by Song Chi-hyung, Dunamu Inc. has grown into a leading blockchain and fintech firm in South Korea. Initially starting with a news curation service, the company gained prominence with the launch of "Kakao Stock" (now Stockplus) in 2014, a popular social trading and securities platform. The company's most significant venture is Upbit, a digital asset exchange launched in 2017 in partnership with the American cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex. Upbit quickly became the dominant exchange in South Korea. Dunamu's mission is to drive financial innovation through technology, expanding its portfolio to include non-fungible token (NFT) ventures (Levvels Inc.) and other technology investments.
