The company issued "Green Bonds," which were asset-backed securities funding a portfolio of loans to projects like LED lighting retrofits and geothermal heating/cooling systems. On April 1, 2021, CoPower Inc. was acquired by Vancity Community Investment Bank (VCIB). Following the acquisition, CoPower ceased to offer new green bonds for sale, and its operations were integrated into VCIB to support their clean energy financing initiatives.
