Founded in 2001, Cofunds grew to become one of the United Kingdom's largest independent investment platforms, providing the administrative technology and services for financial advisers to manage their clients' investments. The platform offered access to a wide range of funds, ISAs, and other investment products. In 2016, Cofunds was acquired by the financial services group Aegon. Following the acquisition, Aegon undertook a multi-year project to migrate all Cofunds clients and assets onto the new, upgraded Aegon Platform. This process was completed, and the Cofunds platform was officially closed in 2020.
