Founded in 1981, Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) is the original and longest-serving health cost sharing ministry in the United States. As a non-profit organization, its mission is to enable Christians to fulfill the biblical directive of bearing one another's burdens by sharing the costs of medical care. Members make monthly financial "gifts" which are then used to satisfy the eligible medical bills of other members.
