Established in 1998 under the Company Act of 1997, the Centre for Microfinance (CMF), Nepal is a non-profit company that serves as an association and resource center for microfinance institutions (MFIs) in the country. Its mission is to foster a sustainable and effective microfinance service delivery system to provide quality financial services to the poor. CMF achieves this through its core functions which include capacity building and training for MFI professionals, knowledge management through research and publications, and policy advocacy to create a favorable environment for microfinance operations in Nepal.
