cdc climat
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 2005 by the French public financial institution Caisse des Dépôts, CDC Climat was a dedicated research entity focused on the economics of climate action. Its mission was to provide expertise and analysis on carbon markets, climate finance, and the transition to a low-carbon economy to inform public and private decision-makers. In 2015, to ensure its independence and non-profit status, the research team and activities of CDC Climat were spun off to form the Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE), which continues this mission as a leading think tank. The original "CDC Climat" entity is no longer operational under that name.
