Cayan was known for its innovative Genius® platform, a cloud-based payment solution that integrated multiple payment types (including EMV, NFC, and mobile wallets) directly at the point-of-sale. The company's mission was to simplify payments and provide businesses with technology to enhance customer engagement. In December 2017, Cayan was acquired by TSYS, a leading global payment solutions provider. Subsequently, in 2019, TSYS merged with Global Payments, and the Cayan brand and its technologies were fully integrated into the Global Payments product suite.
