Often described as the "Airbnb for campervans," the company's mission was to make camping holidays more accessible and allow vehicle owners to earn income from their otherwise idle assets. The platform facilitated the entire rental process, including bookings, payments, and insurance. After significant growth across Europe and Australia, Camptoo was acquired by its German rival, PaulCamper, in December 2021. Since the acquisition, the Camptoo brand and platform have been progressively integrated into PaulCamper's operations.
