Originally founded in 1923, the bank was known as BPS-Bank for many years. In 2009, Sberbank of Russia acquired a controlling stake, and it was subsequently renamed BPS-Sberbank. It has since grown to become one of the largest and most systemically important financial institutions in Belarus. In August 2021, the company officially rebranded to its current name, Sber Bank, to align with the parent group's ecosystem strategy. The bank offers a comprehensive suite of services including retail and corporate banking, lending, deposits, and payment services throughout the Republic of Belarus.
