The BetterBetting Foundation launched an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2017-2018 to fund the development of a global, decentralized betting liquidity pool. Built on the Ethereum blockchain, its mission was to disintermediate the traditional bookmaking industry by enabling fair and transparent peer-to-peer betting using its native cryptocurrency, the BETR token. The project intended to eliminate the role of the central bookmaker, allowing users to set their own odds and bet directly against one another. However, based on public activity, the project appears to be dormant and has not seen significant development or communication since 2019.
