Banque Courtois
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 1760 in Toulouse, Banque Courtois holds the title of the oldest continuously operating bank in France. Historically, it served as a prominent regional bank focusing on the southwestern regions of France (Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie). As a subsidiary of the Crédit du Nord group, it provided a full range of banking services to individuals, professionals, and businesses. On January 1, 2023, the Crédit du Nord group of banks and Société Générale's retail banking network officially merged to create a new entity, SG. As part of this fusion, Banque Courtois was rebranded to SG Courtois, continuing its regional mission and leveraging the strength of the national SG network.
