Founded by presidential decree on December 16, 2009, Banco Bicentenario del Pueblo was created through the merger of several existing state-owned and private financial institutions. The bank focuses on social inclusion, providing banking services to the working class, women, communes, and small entrepreneurs, while also supporting strategic government projects and managing public funds.
