Founded in 1992 as Commercial Union, Aviva Poland grew to become one of the leading insurance and financial services providers in the Polish market. The company offered a comprehensive range of products, including life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, long-term savings plans, pension funds (OFE), and investment funds (TFI). In March 2021, Allianz Group announced its acquisition of Aviva's Polish operations. The transaction was finalized, and on July 1, 2022, the legal merger was completed. All of Aviva Poland's operations, customers, and products were subsequently rebranded and integrated into Allianz Polska.
