Established in 1996, the Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda (AMFIU) is the national network for all microfinance institutions in the country. Its primary mission is to foster a strong, sustainable, and professional microfinance sector through lobbying, advocacy, training, and information sharing for its members. AMFIU plays a crucial role in promoting financial inclusion, setting performance standards, and acting as a collective voice for the industry in engagements with the government, regulators, and development partners.
