The Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) is a non-profit organization representing professionals who specialize in the fields of restructuring, insolvency, and turnaround. With a history tracing back to 1931, and formerly known as the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPAA), ARITA's mission is to lead and support the profession by providing comprehensive education, setting and upholding rigorous professional and ethical standards through its Code of Professional Practice, and advocating on public policy matters. The association serves over 2,200 members, including accountants, lawyers, and other specialists, ensuring they are equipped to help businesses and individuals navigate financial distress.
