Founded in 2013, Arboribus was a pioneering Spanish crowdlending platform dedicated to financing SMEs. The company operated as a "Plataforma de Financiación Participativa" (PFP), authorized and supervised by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). Its mission was to provide an alternative financing channel for businesses by directly connecting them with a community of investors, thereby fostering economic growth. In December 2022, Arboribus voluntarily ceased its activity as a crowdfunding platform and returned its license to the CNMV.
