Originally founded in 1938 as the Erie General Electric Federal Credit Union, the institution rebranded to Widget Financial in 2013. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it is owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to provide comprehensive and competitive financial products, including checking and savings accounts, consumer and mortgage loans, credit cards, and business services, while focusing on the financial well-being of its members and the community it serves.
