Founded in 1974, PT Asuransi Jiwa Adisarana Wanaartha, publicly known as WanaArtha Life, was a life insurance company based in Indonesia. It offered a range of insurance products, including life, health, and investment-linked policies (unit-link). The company faced severe financial difficulties and a major public scandal starting around 2020, where it failed to pay out matured policies to thousands of customers. Following an investigation, Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) determined the company was insolvent and could not meet its obligations, leading to the official revocation of its business license in December 2022 and the initiation of a liquidation process.
