It is designed to operate within the Victoria Falls Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which provides a range of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives for investors. The exchange's primary objective is to attract foreign and domestic investment by trading exclusively in foreign currency (primarily US dollars), which mitigates currency risk for investors. VFEX aims to be a gateway for portfolio investments in Zimbabwe and the wider region, offering a platform for companies in mining, agriculture, tourism, and other key sectors to raise capital in hard currency.
