Founded in 2013, Unilend was one of the first and leading P2B lending platforms in France. Its mission was to provide an alternative financing channel for French SMEs by allowing them to borrow directly from a community of individual and institutional investors, bypassing traditional banks. The platform operated on an auction-based model for interest rates. Despite its initial success, the company faced financial difficulties and was placed in compulsory liquidation on October 30, 2018. Some of its activities were subsequently taken over by a competitor, PretUp.
