Founded in 2001 by a group of leading Colombian financial institutions, Titularizadora Colombiana S.A. is a specialized entity whose primary mission is to connect the mortgage financing market with the capital markets. The company facilitates this by purchasing mortgage portfolios from financial institutions and structuring them into mortgage-backed securities (MBS), which are then sold to investors. This process, known as securitization, provides liquidity to mortgage originators, allowing them to issue more loans, while creating new investment opportunities in the Colombian market.
