Founded in 1982, the Student Federal Credit Union (SFCU) is a student-operated, not-for-profit financial institution chartered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Its mission is to provide quality financial services, including savings accounts, checking accounts, and personal loans, to the Georgetown University community. Being student-run, it also serves as a unique educational platform, offering students hands-on experience in managing a financial institution while promoting financial literacy among its members.
