Founded in 1897 by Czech immigrants, SPJST (Slovanská Podporující Jednota Státu Texas, or Slavonic Benevolent Order of the State of Texas) is a non-profit fraternal benefit society. Its mission is to provide financial security for its members through life insurance and annuity products while fostering community, fellowship, and the preservation of Czech heritage. The organization operates through a system of local lodges across Texas, hosting social, cultural, and charitable events, and offering benefits like scholarships and youth programs in addition to its financial services.
