Founded in 2007, The South African Institute of Tax Professionals (SAIT) is a professional membership organization dedicated to the tax industry in South Africa. It serves as a Recognised Controlling Body under the Tax Administration Act, regulating the conduct of tax professionals and setting competency standards. SAIT's mission is to enhance the tax profession by providing premier tax-specific qualifications, continuing professional development (CPD), and a strong ethical framework, thereby protecting the public interest and representing its members at various governmental levels, including SARS and National Treasury.
