Founded in 2011, Service Centrum Auteurs-en Naburige rechten (SCAN) is a specialized service organization established by and for Dutch collective management organizations (CMOs). Its core mission is to provide efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective services related to the administration, collection, and distribution of fees for copyright and neighboring rights. By centralizing these back-office operations, SCAN enables its member CMOs (such as Buma/Stemra, Sena, and Pictoright) to focus on their primary tasks of representing authors, performers, and publishers.
