Ruuky, operated by The Mobile Bank GmbH, was a Hamburg-based fintech startup aiming to be the first digital bank account for young people in Europe. Initially founded as "pockid" in 2020, it rebranded to Ruuky in 2022. The service provided a user-friendly mobile app, a virtual and physical Mastercard debit card, and features that allowed parents to manage and top up their children's accounts, promoting financial literacy from a young age. Despite raising seed funding, the company was unable to secure further investment and filed for insolvency in late 2022, ultimately shutting down its services for all customers on March 31, 2023.
