Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank
Information by Research TrustFinance
Created by the Rhode Island General Assembly in 1989, the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank (RIIB) is a quasi-public agency dedicated to providing affordable and flexible financing for critical infrastructure projects across the state. Its mission is to actively support and finance investments in transportation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean water, and brownfield remediation. RIIB accomplishes this by issuing bonds and leveraging other sources of capital to offer low-cost loans, grants, and technical assistance to its partners, thereby stimulating economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for Rhode Islanders.
