Founded in 2009, Prestiamoci was the first peer-to-peer (or social) lending company to launch in Italy. It operates as a regulated financial intermediary, authorized and supervised by the Bank of Italy (registration no. 198). The company's mission is to provide a transparent and efficient alternative to the traditional banking system by directly connecting individuals who want to invest their savings (lenders) with those who need credit (borrowers). This model aims to offer more favorable interest rates for both parties. In October 2023, Prestiamoci became part of the Soisy group, another prominent Italian fintech company in the lending space.
