Founded in 2021 by Arindam Roy, Rajath KM, and Kartik Mishra, Pillow was a fintech company that aimed to democratize access to decentralized finance (DeFi). The platform enabled users, particularly in emerging markets, to easily invest in high-yield DeFi strategies without the complexity of navigating the protocols directly. After raising $18 million in a Series A funding round in October 2022, the company announced in June 2023 that it would be ceasing all operations and shutting down its platform by July 31, 2023, citing regulatory uncertainty as a primary factor in its decision.
