PayTipper S.p.A. was an Italian fintech company founded in 2011, operating as a Payment Institution authorized and supervised by the Bank of Italy. The company specialized in providing innovative and secure payment services, establishing a large physical network of affiliated merchants (such as tobacconists and newsstands) alongside its digital platforms. Core services included paying utility bills, postal slips (bollettini), MAV/RAV, PagoPA notices, and mobile phone top-ups. In 2019, PayTipper was acquired by Enel X, the Enel Group's global business line dedicated to innovative products and digital solutions. Following the acquisition, PayTipper has been fully integrated and rebranded into Enel X Pay, which now serves as the group's financial services and e-payment platform.
