Launched in response to the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Black entrepreneurs, the Oakland Black Business Fund (OBBF) is dedicated to creating a more equitable reality for the Black business community. The fund operates by raising capital from foundations, corporate partners, and individual donors to provide grants and technical assistance directly to Black-owned businesses. Its mission is to address systemic inequities and foster a thriving ecosystem where Black businesses in Oakland have the resources and support needed to succeed and build wealth.
