Founded in 1949 in Eugene, Oregon, Northwest Community Credit Union (NWCU) was a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution dedicated to providing comprehensive banking and financial services to its members in Oregon. Its mission focused on community support and delivering value through lower loan rates and higher savings yields. In 2021, Northwest Community Credit Union completed a merger with TwinStar Credit Union. The combined entity now operates under the TwinStar Credit Union name, expanding its service area and resources while continuing the member-first credit union philosophy.
