Navab Capital Partners was established in 2019 by Alexander Navab, a veteran private equity dealmaker who had spent over two decades at KKR & Co. The firm was launched with the mission to pursue mid- to large-cap buyout investments, primarily in North America. It successfully raised a significant portion of its target fund from foundational investors. However, following the sudden and unexpected passing of its founder in July 2019, the firm announced in early 2020 that it would be winding down its operations and returning the committed capital to its investors.
