Established in 2001, the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) is the only stock exchange currently operating in Armenia. In 2008, it was acquired by the OMX Group and subsequently became known as NASDAQ OMX Armenia following the merger of NASDAQ and OMX. In May 2022, the Central Bank of Armenia became the 100% shareholder, and the company was rebranded to its current name, Armenia Securities Exchange. AMX's mission is to provide an efficient and transparent exchange market for the listing and trading of securities, and it also operates the Central Depository of Armenia.
