Founded in 1942 by a group of teachers, Michigan Educational Credit Union (MECU) is a not-for-profit financial institution dedicated to serving the financial needs of the educational community and their families within Michigan. As a member-owned cooperative, its profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees. MECU provides a full suite of financial services, including savings and checking accounts, auto loans, mortgages, credit cards, and investment services, with a mission to build a partnership for its members' financial success.
