Founded in 1902, The Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland (MDDUS) is a mutual, not-for-profit organisation owned by its members. Its primary mission is to protect the professional interests of doctors, dentists, and other healthcare professionals across the UK. MDDUS achieves this by providing access to professional indemnity, expert medico-legal and dento-legal advice, and legal representation in response to clinical negligence claims, complaints, regulatory matters, and other professional challenges.
