Founded in 1916, Municipal Credit Union (MCU) is one of the oldest and largest credit unions in the United States. As a not-for-profit financial institution, its mission is to provide its members with a full range of high-quality, low-cost financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, mortgages, and investment products. Membership is primarily open to employees and retirees of New York City, New York State, the U.S. government who work in the five boroughs, employees of hospitals and nursing homes in NYC, and CUNY employees, as well as their family members.
