MassDevelopment, the state’s development finance agency and land bank, works with businesses, nonprofits, and communities to stimulate economic growth across Massachusetts. Established in 1998 from the merger of the Massachusetts Government Land Bank and the Massachusetts Industrial Finance Agency, it provides a wide range of financing programs and real estate development services. Its mission is to create jobs, increase housing, and support economic development by offering tax-exempt bonds, loans, guarantees, and technical assistance to foster investment and revitalize communities throughout the Commonwealth.
