Originally launched as JD Finance in 2013 and later rebranded to JD Digits, the company is the technology and financial services arm of JD.com. It was established to manage the financial services for JD.com's vast e-commerce ecosystem. Its mission is to connect finance and industry using digital technology, offering a suite of services including digital payments (JD Pay), consumer credit (Baitiao), wealth management, insurance, and supply chain financing. Today, as JD Technology, it has expanded its focus to also provide enterprise-level technology solutions, including AI, cloud computing, and blockchain, to other businesses and financial institutions.
