The Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme is a key instrument of the European Union's Cohesion Policy, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It supports transnational cooperation projects involving public and private organisations from nine central European countries: Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and parts of Germany and Italy. The programme's mission is to foster collaboration beyond borders to address common challenges in areas such as innovation, smart specialisation, energy transition, climate change adaptation, and transport, thereby contributing to a more resilient and cohesive Central Europe.
