Intercontinental Exchange
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2000 by Jeffrey C. Sprecher, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) was established to create a more transparent and efficient digital marketplace for trading energy commodities. The company has since grown dramatically through strategic acquisitions, including the International Petroleum Exchange, the New York Board of Trade, and most notably, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2013. Today, ICE operates a global network of regulated exchanges and clearing houses for financial and commodity markets, alongside offering comprehensive data services and, more recently, end-to-end mortgage technology solutions. Its mission is to drive transparency and efficiency in markets worldwide.
