IlliniCare Health was a health insurance provider based in Illinois and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Centene Corporation. The company specialized in offering managed care plans through government-sponsored programs, including the Illinois Medicaid Program (HealthChoice Illinois) and Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI). In 2020, as part of a divestiture following Centene's acquisition of WellCare, IlliniCare Health's operations were sold to CVS Health. Subsequently, the plan was rebranded and now operates as Aetna Better Health of Illinois.
