Getnet is the merchant acquiring business of PagoNxt, a Santander Group company dedicated to simplifying payments for businesses. Launched in Uruguay in 2021, it took over Santander's existing merchant acquiring operations to offer a more modern and agile service. Getnet focuses on providing businesses with simple, fast, and secure payment solutions, including physical POS terminals (Verifone and Getnet POS), QR code payments, payment links (Link de Pago), and e-commerce payment gateways to facilitate both in-person and online sales.
