Four Directions Development Corporation is a Native-owned and operated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Formed in 2001 by the Penobscot Indian Nation, its mission is to improve the social and economic conditions of the four Native American tribes in Maine through education and investment in affordable housing, tribal business, and community development. They provide various loan products, including home and business loans, alongside financial education and development services to support economic sovereignty within these communities.
