Originally launched by First Data Corporation, Payeezy was a set of tools and APIs that allowed businesses and developers to easily integrate payment processing into their websites and applications. It was designed to help merchants accept a wide range of payments, including credit cards and digital wallets, both online and in-app. In 2019, First Data was acquired by Fiserv, a global leader in financial services technology. The Payeezy gateway technology has since been integrated into Fiserv's broader commerce solutions, such as the Carat operating system for enterprises and its Clover platform for small and medium-sized businesses.
