FCP Emprendimiento e Innovación SP is a "fondo de fondos" (fund of funds) managed by Bancóldex, the business development bank of Colombia. Its primary mission is to promote and strengthen the private equity industry within Colombia. The fund achieves this by investing its capital into other private equity funds that, in turn, finance and support innovative and high-potential Colombian startups and companies. It was established as a strategic government-backed initiative to boost the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem and provide long-term capital for growing businesses.
