Established by the Province of Drenthe, Energiefonds Drenthe is a revolving fund designed to accelerate the energy transition and stimulate the regional economy. The fund provides various forms of financing, such as loans, guarantees, and equity participation, to businesses, housing corporations, and energy cooperatives for sustainable energy projects. Its mission is to support initiatives in renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, and new energy technologies, ensuring that profits are reinvested into new projects within the province. The fund management is carried out by Meewind.
